Azubogu Inspects ongoing Akamili- NAUTH Permanent Site Road Project he facilitated … Says road will give access to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Permanent Site.
Leading Governorship aspirant under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Engr Chris Azubogu, on Thursday inspected the ongoing completion of road project at Akamili portion of the kilometre Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH) Permanent Site/Blaze FM road project which was facilitated from federal Government.
The road is 90% completed apart from the 500 meters Akamili portion which completion work has resumed.
Engr Azubogu, representing Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, stated that the road is very key to the people and also for all-important medical referral centre, the University Teaching Hospital.
“This very project is in line with our deliberate effort to bridge the infrastructure gap and create a thriving economy for the State. We are mindful of the expectations of our people regarding this road especially when there was delay on the Akamili portion of the road. But it was all for good considering nature its terrain.
Thank God, the work has resumed on this remaining 500metre portion of the road which we hope to complete before rainy season,” he said.
Engr Azubogu facilitated this project that has a new bridge on it which has been completed.
On why the road stopped immediately after Blaze FM Oraifite, Azubogu stated that the part after Blaze FM is under existing contract by Anambra State Government and there is no way he would facilitate a project on a supposed road project that is under an existing State Government contract.
