Kano State Government has commenced closure of defaulting private health facilities for non-payment of renewal fees for 2020.

This was contained in a state-issued by Kano State Private Health Institutions Management Agency (PHIMA), Executive Secretary, Dr. Usman Tijjani Aliyu on Monday

The statement said “some of the facilities closed include Baraka clinic and Maternity, Darmanawa, M. D. G. Specialist Hospital, Ribadu road in Tarauni local government of the state among others.

“The exercise is continuous so as to have adequate data of approved private health facilities operating in the state”.

The action follows months of grace accorded defaulters by the state Private Health Institutions Management Agency (PHIMA), for registrations/licenses with the agency to avoid enforcement actions.
