YOLA — Seven persons were confirmed dead Sunday evening in a motor accident that occurred between Jabbi-lamba and Mallam Madugu village in Girei local government area of Adamawa state.

DSP Sulaiman Yahaya Nguroje Police Public Relations Officer PPRO Adamawa State Police Command confirmed the incident occurred when a Toyota Corolla Starlet collided with a Toyota Sienna Bus around four o’clock Sunday evening.

“Six passengers in the Toyota starlet died on the spot including the driver, while the driver of the Sienna bus who was alone in the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was receiving treatment in the hospital.

“The Commissioner of Police in the State Aliyu Adamu Alhaji has ordered for immediate investigation on the cause of the accident”, Nguroje said.

He called on motorists to be extra vigilant and adhere strictly to traffic regulations while on road to avert such incidents.
