Adamawa Investment and Property Development Company Limited have acquired twenty thousand hectares of land along Mayo Belwa and Numan axis for the execution of a Biofuel project in the state.

Inspecting the site Thursday, the Managing Director of the company Rabi Yahya Ahmed said the project in which is a collaboration between the Adamawa state government and Nigeria National Petroleum NNPC is to provide alternative fuel using ethanol byproducts of sugarcane.

“The project will provide jobs to over ten thousand persons as well empower farmers to produce maximally.

“The aim of the inspection is to assess with the land as the company is expecting a team from the NNPC in April this year for commencement of work on the project.

She said NNPC through its National renewable energy program will provide investors to implement the project”, she said.

She lauded Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for his commitment to the actualization of the project and for providing the required land.

Also speaking, the Deputy Manager of Adamawa Investment and Property Development Company Limited Engr Auwal Bashir described the project as worthwhile as it would be of immense benefits to Adamawa citizens.
