Governor Ahmad Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has restated his determination as the Chief security officer of the state to ensure the people enjoy maximum security as they go about their lawful duties.

The Governor stated this when he received the newly posted Commander 1-0-3 Strike Group of the Nigeria Air force Base Yola, Air Cmdr Joseph Malgwi at the Government House Yola.

“Cattle rustling, kidnappings, armed banditry are causes of unrest and mayhem, the government is working with other security commanders in the state to rid Adamawa of insecurity.

“Government is deploying sophisticated devices and the technical know-how to keep the country as one in line with oaths sworn as leaders”, he said.

Fintiri noted that the new commander is familiar with the terrain being an indigene of Borno state and believed that with his wealth of experience he is coming to add value to the fight against insurgency.

As chief security officer of the state, Governor Fintiri pledged to do everything within limited resources to support security agencies and ensure they succeed in the task of securing the state.

Speaking earlier, the newly posted Commander 1-0-3 Strike Group, Air Cmdr Joseph Malgwi said his visit is to intimate the Governor of his assumption of office and is determined to assist in securing the state.

He assured to work on governments directive to ensure the state is adequately secured so that economic activities will pick up and be allowed to strive

“The state is stronger than any individual as such the Air Force is bent on working as a tool In the hands of the government within the ambit of the constitution”, he said.

Malgwi extended the Chief of Air staff commendation to the Governor for ensuring the state is protected and tireless support to the Air Force.
