Adamawa State Police Command on Saturday 27/3/2021has arrested three suspected kidnappers including a woman for alleged threatening of lives and extorting money from innocent citizens.
According to the image-maker of the command, DSP Suleiman Yahaya Njuroje the suspects were arrested in their various hideouts.
“Investigations so far revealed that the suspects always extort their victims upon text messages threatening to kidnap them if a certain amount is not paid.
“The suspects are Suleiman Adamu 34 years a resident of No.18 Alkali Street, Demsawo, Yola North, Abdullahi Ayuba 36 resident of Ghana Crescent Bekaji, Yola North and Zainab Ahondu 50 years a female behind CBN, Jalingo, Taraba State.
“Were apprehended at their various hideouts at Viniklang and Doubeli in Girei and Yola North local government Areas following double received an intense search by the Police Detectives attached to State intelligence Bureau.
The statement said the Commissioner Police Aliyu Adamu Alhaji while commending OC SIB and his men for making it difficult for those criminals to escape arrest, equally direct further investigations into the case to bring up more Human and Material evidence for proper prosecution.
The statement calls on the people to always report any suspicious movement around their neighborhoods to police.
