A year ago, the existence of humanity was threatened by the deadly coronavirus leading to the lockdown of activities in nations across the globe.

Places of interactions were shut down to reduce human interactions and transmission; churches, schools, offices, markets were either shut down or hours of operation reduced; gloom and despair everywhere but new ways of doing things emerged.

A man like the biblical Samson caught a vision that will release sweetness into lives defeating the despair lockdown imposed on us by the coronavirus pandemic ravaging the international community.

He and his crew crucified the flesh and its dictates to begin a move of the Spirit with his local congregation Streams of Joy International, a church in Umuahia town in Abia State, Nigeria.

In compliance with government stay-at-home order, social media became the anchor platform for prayer meetings every Monday to Friday, 7am-8am Nigerian time with the opportunity of a replay for those who cannot join the prayers in real-time.

Thus the prayer platform tagged New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration, NSPPD, was birthed by Streams of Joy International Church.

Pastor Jerry Eze fondly called PJ, the convener of NSPPD is the lead pastor of Streams of Joy International. Alongside him, two other formidable forces anchor the early morning prayers; his wife, Pastor Mrs. Eno Jerry Eze, author of a motivational book ‘I Almost Ruined My Marriage’ and Pastor Uguru and the crew members who work tirelessly behind the scene ensuring a smooth transmission of the service online.

NSPPD live stream on weekdays proposed for an hour now lasts well over that with over 100k followers; on average on a daily basis, NSPPD prayers records over 70k live watches while thousands watch a replay at their convenience.

Shocking testimonies from followers are televised live, testimonies that confirm the group’s anthem ‘what God cannot do, does not exist.”

Pastor Jerry said in an interview, “As in the days of the Israelites in the wilderness when the cloud moves they move; so the cloud moved and NSPPD is birthed”.

PJ describes NSPPD as a global quake; a global revival of the strange acts of God relieved in this dispensation”

“The amazing thing about this great move of God is that right there in each person’s home or office, miracles happen; we have seen the dead rise, the lame walk and the blind see, miracles that sound like lies…”

On the consistency of the prayer, Pastor Jerry said, “it is tiring but when we look at what God is doing in the lives of people, we are spurred to do it again and again and again; pains are rolled away, ashes turn to beauty and joy resonates in homes”.

In recognition of the amazing job and selfless service put in by the crew, PJ declares his love for all who in one way or the other make the daily prayers a huge success. He further described them as God’s special seed.

For all the NSPPDians all over the globe, the young convener encourages consistency in joining the prayers as the same God who has done it for others is well able to do it for all.
