YOLA — The Adamawa state government will compensate victims of the recent crisis in Sabon Layi Community of Demsa local government area.

Recall last Friday, some people of the community barricaded Numan-Demsa highway for several hours to express their anger over the destruction of their farm plants by herders in which one person was injured.

“Government will not spare anybody found wanting, until all those that fueled the misunderstanding are traced and punished accordingly.”

“The present administration will continue to safeguard lives and property of the citizenry and the age-long relationship between farmers and herders is historic. People should not take laws into their hands but report any breach of peace to security agents.” Fintiri said.

The Governor called on them to live peacefully with one another devoid of any ethnic and religious sentiment for progress and development, stressing that his administration will do its best to develop the area and Adamawa as a whole.
