Anambra’s Willie Obiano has said President Muhammadu Buhari does not approve of a declaration of emergency rule in the state.
His statement is a response to Abubakar Malami, attorney-general of the federation (AGF), a statement on insecurity in the state.
According to him, states facing insecurity are yet to declared emergency rule.
However, Obiano noted that Buhari has assured that he was only interested in a free and fair election on November 6 in the state.
Obiano who said he has reported Malami to the president described the attorney general’s statement as “unfortunate”.
He should have suggested the imposition of emergency rule in northern states experiencing more killings.
The governor said he would call the attorney-general to express his feelings over the suggestion,
