Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa state has presented a first class staff of office to the new monarch of Mbula Chiefdom, Murum Bwaltam Bentley Biyapo, Mboiman II.
The presentation was made on Thursday in Borrong, Demsa local government area.
The oath of office was administered on the new Murum Mbula by the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice Barrister Afraimu Jingi.
The new king who succeeds Murum Joram Joel Fwa who died on May, 17th, 2021 ascended the throne of his fathers as the eleventh installed Murum Mbula.
The Governor charged Murum Mbula to partner with the government in the areas of agriculture and maintenance of peace especially between farmers and herders.
While congratulating the monarch, Bentley Biyapo for his emergence as the new Murum Mbula, called on him to extend his hands of fellowship to his co-contestants who have ultimately embraced his choice wholeheartedly.
Fintiri maintained that his administration has much respect for traditional institutions and that was why the government did not interfere in his selection process by the kingmakers.
Responding, the new Murum Mbula, Bwaltam Bentley Biyapo Mboiman II, expressed appreciation to God who made him the eleventh monarch of Mbula Chiefdom.
Biyapo promised the people of his Chiefdom that he will put in his best and strive for excellence that will take the Mbula nation to a place of pride and fulfillment.
The monarch thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for always being amenable to the demands of Mbula such as approval for upgrade of Government Secondary School Borrong to boarding school.
