KANO — Following a strike embarked upon by tricycle riders, popularly known as KEKE operators in Kano, commuters were seen stranded along the roadside on Monday morning.
The situation had forced some commuters to use alternative means of transportation to reach their destination.
The KEKE operators are protesting against the new registration tariff introduced by the Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA).
The agency is charging new registrants, N18,000, while renewal is N8,000, on annual basis.
