The Gombe State Police Command has arrested one Ibrahim Saidu, 25-year old panel beater alias Shetti of Akko in Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State, for allegedly stabbing a commercial motorcycle operator to death for hitting his dog.
The Commissioner of Police (CP) in the state Babatunde Ishola Babaita who paraded the suspect alongside the Dog, said the “okada” rider, Saleh Babayo died before medical attention could be rendered at the General hospital Kumo.
The CP assured that the suspect would be charged and taken to court for culpable homicide.
The suspect, Saidu, said he was tempted by the devil: “it was the devil; I honestly regretted my actions.”
