Kim Kardashian has dropped her ex-husband, Kanye West’s last name from her social media handles just a day after she was legally declared single.
The West African Pilot News had reported that Kim Kardashian has been declared a single woman by Judge Steven Cochran of Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, March 3.
The reality TV star was granted her request to end her marriage from Kanye West, 44, also known as Ye, on March 2, 2022, a year after filing for divorce.
The ruling means that the couple’s marriage is officially over, however further proceedings remain with regards to their four children.
Following the development, the 41-year-old has gone back to her original name on social media, letting her 289 million followers on Instagram and over 71 million followers on Twitter know that she is now officially single.
On her Instagram and Twitter pages, the business mogul who was once ‘Kim Kardashian West’ has simply become ‘Kim Kardashian’.
Kim’s removal of ‘West’ from her social media names, however, had not stopped her from promoting her KKW fragrance brand, which bears an initial from her estranged husband’s surname.
Also, the removal was against her earlier decision to keep Kanye’s last name even after their divorce, which she made when the rapper filed to officially change his name to ‘Ye’.
