LAGOS — A young Nigerian man has been rescued in an attempt to commit suicide at the Ikoyi-Lekki Link Bridge, Lagos by passersby.
The man reportedly climbed over the bridge to the solid structure on the other side then tried to jump into the lagoon.
However, some men present immediately went in and held him from jumping off the structure he was on.
In the trending video, the victim was held onto tightly as his rescuers called for help to get him off the ledge.
However, while some people joined them in making sure that the man was saved, some performed the role of onlookers as they stood by, recording videos of the incident.
Eventually, he was dragged up and taken over the bridge to safety.
