Big Brother Naija season 4 housemate, Tacha, and Basketmouth have hailed Nigerian singer, Davido for his feature on the 2022 FIFA World Cup soundtrack.
Davido had made history and made Nigerians proud as he, alongside Trinidad Cardona and Aisha, sang the 2022 World Cup soundtrack titled ‘Hayya Hayya’ (Better Together).
Since this development and after his performance in Qatar on Friday night, many of his colleagues such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Don Jazzy, among others have remained mute over it.
This has stirred social media reactions, debates,s and superiority contests among fans of Nigerian musicians.
It later degenerated into Davido tweeting, “Me versus the music industry! I love it!”
Wading into the controversy, Anita Natacha Akide, better known as Tacha pitched her tent with Davido.
According to her, Davido is the actual GOAT (Greatest of All Time) in the music industry.
She tweeted, “Davido deserves his flowers!! Man has worked his way tirelessly to the top!! (Day in day out) doing this for Africa. This representation is big! Let’s stop playing! He’s the actual “GOAT”. Give the man his flowers!! Love you, David.
Bright Okpocha, better known by his stage name Basketmouth also hailed Davido for his feat and said he should be applauded.
He wrote on Instagram, “In addition to his numerous achievements at such a young age, Davido had now singlehandedly carried Nigeria to the World Cup. That alone should be applauded, regardless of any other situation. Nobody go die if we support everybody.”
