Media entrepreneur and social activist, Shade Ladipo has advised women to rethink the use of their 20s and 30s instead of rushing into marriage at such an early age.
Reacting to the traditional wedding ceremony of Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic, who tied the knot on Tuesday, April 19 at the age of 46, Ladipo expressed delight that it is gradually becoming a norm for women to get married in their forties.
She made this known on Instagram in the late hours of Saturday.
Addressing women, the media personality said there’s a need for them to rethink the use of their 20s and 30s, noting that there’s more to life than getting married and having children in their 20s.
She further advised women to focus on developing themselves in their early years. According to her, they were not created solely to marry and procreate.
She wrote:
“I’m so glad we’re gradually normalizing women getting married in their forties. Women need to really rethink the use of their 20s & 30s.
“Ladies there’s nothing wrong in securing your bag. Developing high emotional intelligence and chasing your dreams early in life.
“Plenty roads to the market. No to just to born, become wifey at 25 with 5 children. God made you for so much more than to procreate and be married.”
