Ahead of the 2023 general elections in Nigeria, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will on Friday begin the screening of the 17 presidential aspirants seeking to be the party’s presidential flagbearer.
Former Senate, Chief David Mark, is the chairman of a nine-member screening committee set up to screen the aspirants.
Those to face the screening committee include former senate President Bukala Saraki, former vice president Atiku Abubakar, former secretary to the Government of the federation (SGF), Pius Anyim, former Anambra Governor Peter Obi and Sokoto Governor, Aminu Tambuwal.
Others include renowned industrialist, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa; a former bank chief, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen; A US-based Medical Doctor, Nwachukwu Anakwenze, and Ovation Magazine Publisher, Dele Momodu.
Also to be screened are Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed; Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike, and Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, Former Ekiti Governor, Ayo Fayosi; Cosmos Ndukwe, Charles Ugwu, Chikwendu Kalu and Tariele Oliver.
