A presidential aspirant of the African Action Congress (AAC) and publisher of online news platform, Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, held a political rally inside a lake in Ondo state.
Sowore had, on March 1, 2022, declared his intention to contest for the presidency in the 2023 general election.
The convener of #RevolutionNow Movement on Saturday, April 30, arrived at his home state, Ondo, to continue consultation ahead of the election.
This is the first time the Ondo-born pro-democracy activist would be visiting the state since the government of Nigeria led by President Muhammadu Buhari restricted him to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, over the #RevolutionNow protests in 2019.
Sowore, on Tuesday, shared photos of himself and a group of youths inside Opotuo lake, Kiribo, Ondo state on Facebook with the caption: “For Swimmers Only: A political rally inside a lake.”
