The Chief John Odigie-Oyegun-led presidential screening panel of All Progressives Congress has disqualified 10 aspirants out of the 23 gunning for the office of the President under the platform of the party in the 2023 elections.
Oyegun announced this on Friday at the party’s secretariat in Abuja when the seven-man panel presented its report.
He said that 13 of the aspirants were cleared while 10 couldn’t make it to the primary.
Among those cleared are: Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Dr. Ahmed Lawan, Yahaya Bello, Godswill Akpabio, David Umahi and others.
The party primary election is slated for 6th and 7th June, 2022.
It was gathered that no one was disqualified, but only 13 out of the 23 aspirants appeared before the screening panel.
