The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps NYSC Brig. Gen. Muhammed Kaku Fadah has charged Corps members to prepare ahead of their participation in the conduct of forthcoming general elections.

Addressing Corps Members at the Yobe State NYSC Permanent Orientation camp in Dazigau, Nangere Local Government Area, Gen. Fadah said, considering the critical role, the corps members are expected to play during the elections, there was the need for them to remain apolitical and strictly adhere by the rules of the game.

He also warned the corps members against drug abuse, cultism, unauthorized journey and   other related offences, commended them for their exemplary behavior at the orientation camp.

The NYSC Director-General urged them to take advantage of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneur Development programme of the scheme to become self-employed after the service year instead of waiting for white collar jobs that were not readily available.

In a remark, the Yobe State Coordinator of the NYSC, Hajiya Hafsat Yerima commended the NYSC Director General for the visit and requested for the expansion of the general hall at the camp to be able to accommodate more people during their scheduled activities.
