The 2022 Eid-El-Kabir celebration was held peacefully across Adamawa state as thousands of Muslim worshippers across the state Saturday joined their counterparts the world over to commemorate the day.

The celebration was held at various Eid-El-Kabir grounds in parts of the state under security surveillance.

Malam Bashiru Ahmad, Secretary to Adamawa State Government SSG, enjoyed Muslims to live in peace with other adherents of religion in the state and imbibe the teachings of Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him especially that of togetherness and brotherhood.

“It is my prayer that the sacrifices made at the occasion are accepted by Almighty Allah and should be shared within the community to foster harmony and brotherliness.

 Malam Bashiru Ahmad led government top officials as Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri is currently in Mecca, Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage.

He then congratulated Muslims in Adamawa for the successful Eid-El-Kabir celebration.

In their sermons, the Imams who led the two rakaát prayers spoke extensively on the types of sacrificial animals and the benefits attached to it, charging whoever has the means to do it.

The Imams slaughtered their sacrificial animals, symbolizing that other Muslims who have the means to follow suit as part of the righteous acts of the celebration.
