Electorates of Mayo-Farang District in Mayo-Belwa local Government area, Adamawa state have been enjoined to elect leaders of proven integrity in the 2023 general elections.

The Sarkin Noma Adamawa who is also the District Head of Mayo-Farang Ardo Mustapha Ahmadu gave the charge Monday at his palace in Mayo-Farang while conferring traditional titles on eight sons and daughters of the area, noted that only credible leaders would prioritize the needs of the people.

He also tasked Nigerians to venture into farming and rearing irrespective of their professional careers, as a way of contributing to mitigating food insecurity in the country.

The District Head explained that those bestowed with the titles have contributed immensely to the growth and development of the area and urged them not to relent in that regard for humanity.

The Sarkin Noma, while congratulating them on their appointments, called on them to cooperate with title holders in the area so as to take the district to greater heights.

Responding on behalf of those turbaned, Mallam Mustpaha Wambai who was turbaned as Sarkin Yaki Mayo-Farang pledged their loyalty and allegiance to the District Head and the Adamawa Emirate.

He assured them that they would continue to contribute to the development of the area.

Those turbaned are Mallam Mustpaha Wambai as Sarkin Yaki, Alhaji Bamanga Gidado- Kaura, Bobboi Hassan-Maidala, Alhaji Dahiru Jauro Usman-Chigari, Hammanjoda Sali-Bunu, Hajiya Saádatu Ardo-Zinariya and  Hajiya Asmaú Sahabo yusuf-Jaruma while Rukaiya Ardo Ahmadu was turbaned as Sarauniya.
