The Federal Ministry of Education has ordered the immediate closure of the Federal Government College Kwali due to security breaches in Sheda and Lambata Villages, suburbs of Kwali Area Council of the FCT.

Director, Press and Public Relations of the Ministry, Ben. Bem Goong in a statement quoted the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu as saying that the closure became necessary, which also threatened FGC Kwali.

The Minister noted that the timely intervention of security Agencies saved the situation.

“Principals of Unity Colleges across the country have been directed to liaise with security Agencies within their jurisdictions in order to “forestall any security breach in our schools,” the statement added.

Adamu also directed that arrangements should be made for final year students to conclude their NECO examinations.
