Human rights activist and convener of Concerned Nigeria, Deji Adeyanju, has challenged the supporters of Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party, to a $10,000 bet.

Adeyanju, who has said he will not support any presidential flag bearer, said the bet was over the slim chances of Obi in the forthcoming general elections.

He expressed his readiness to bet $10,000 with any ‘Obidient’, in Nigeria or in diaspora, that Obi will come a distant third in the presidential election slated for 25 February 2023.

“Willing to bet $10k with any Obedient in Nigeria or in diaspora that Obi will come distant 3rd in February,” the post he shared on his social media pages on Friday read.

“Put your money where your mouth is. Let’s find someone we can deposit the money with now so you don’t change your mind later. I suggest Egbon Dele MOMODU to keep the money.”

As of the time of writing this report, no one has accepted the challenge.
