LAGOS — A carnival-like rally in support of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima was held in Lagos State on Sunday.
The political rally was organised by the chairman of Lagos State Parks and Garages Management, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly called MC Oluomo in collaboration with ‘Team Lagos, Nigeria’, an APC support group.
The rally was also to show support for the re-election of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; his running mate, Obafemi Hamzat, and all the APC candidates vying for one office or the other in the state. It was tagged, ‘Mother of all Rallies’.
The march commenced with a mammoth crowd at the Teslim Balogun Stadium as early as 7:00 a.m. despite the heavy downpour in the early hours of Sunday in Lagos, and ended at Bolade Oshodi with fanfare at noon.
Addressing the supporters, MC Oluomo said the solidarity walk “is to show our support, strength, and capacity for APC candidates because they are the best for the job at hand.”
He said Tinubu, who laid the foundation for the progressive development of Lagos State, has the experience and ability to replicate all the visible developments in the state at the federal level if given the opportunity.
