Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has maintained that he is fit to occupy the office of the presidency.
Since Tinubu declared his intention to run for the 2023 presidential election and emerged the flag bearer of the APC, Nigerians have continued to raise concerns about his health status. Critics have urged him to quit the presidential race due to his apparent health challenges.
Dismissing the speculations that he is sick, the presidential candidate said, just like he had noted before, that presidency doesn’t require physical strength.
Tinubu while addressing the Kano Business Community Council on Saturday said he was not “running for 100 yards or 500 yards; I am running for the presidency. I’m not competing for WWE (wrestling).”
To his critics, he said: “If I go out there, they would say he is sick. I’m standing before you, do I look like a sick man?”
Tinubu described those who complain about his health as “ignorant”, adding that his critics will stop complaining when he wins the presidential election because he is “smarter”.
He, therefore, urged Nigerians to “vote me out of their reach. Vote me 100 per cent.”
