Members of the Adoration Ministry Emene went agog on Wednesday with the return of the former Spiritual Director of the Ministry, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka to Enugu State after months away on retreat.

The Adoration members aka Adorers trooped out in numbers to the Akanu Ibiam International airport to receive Fr. Mbaka who traveled out of the country following his transfer from the chaplaincy to a monastery in October 2022.

Fr. Mbaka’s transfer is a result of his fallout with the Enugu Catholic Diocese over his political utterances despite countless warnings from the Bishop, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga.

He was transferred to Monastery and replaced by Rev. Fr. Anthony Amadi who was then appointed chaplain of the Adoration Ministry Chaplaincy.

Recall that in a video, Fr. Mbaka revealed the monastery; “Officially, I have entered into St. Andrew’s Abbey Monastery in Los Angeles, Valyermo.”

St. Andrew’s Abbey established in 1955 is a male Benedictine monastery of the congregation of the Annunciation located in Valyermo, in the Mojave Desert, northern Los Angeles County, Southern California.
