In 51 days, electorates will head to the polls to elect their leaders for at least the next four years; Presidency, National Assembly, Gubernatorial, and State House of Assembly.

To participate in the general elections, the Permanent Voter Card is indispensable as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says no PVC, no voting.

To be accredited for voting in the 2023 general election, the electorate’s PVC will be read with the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) without which such citizens will be disenfranchised.

Hence INEC has devised means to get the uncollected PVCs nearer to the people as the date for the end of the collection draws near; the deadline for the collection of PVCs is January 22.

INEC officials, therefore, call on registrants in Enugu who are yet to collect their PVCs to go to their ward for collection;

Distribution of the cards at the ward level starts on Friday 6th to Sunday 15th January, 9 am-3 pm daily. However, the collection continues at the INEC Local Government Area Offices in the state till the deadline.

Citizens are advised to seize the opportunity and collect their PVCs so as to participate actively in the 2023 general elections.

To collect your PVC, you are to present any of the following documents; temporal voter card.

In absence of the above, one can present a photocopy of a driving license National Identity Card or Passport Photograph.

Remember, your vote is your power.
