As the general elections approach, Christians have been enjoined to get their Permanent Voters Card and choose the right leaders that will enhance their safety, economic growth, and development of society.
Dean Rev. Nelson Malau, who represented the Bishop of the church, gave the charge at the end of four day National Convention of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN) held in Numan, Adamawa State.
He urged members of the church to serve with dedication and faithfulness, stressing that God needs total submission.
Guest Speaker at the event, Rt. Rev. Irmiya Nat Taddugorond said the theme of the convention was taken from the Holy Bible of Joshua chapter 24 verse 14, which says, “Choose this day whom you shall serve”.
He said Christians should be united in taking a decision that affects them, noting that they should not serve two masters at the same time.
On elections, the Taddugorond urged Nigerians to consider the capabilities of candidates and their party manifestos for them to choose good leaders.
In his remark, the Vicar of Chapel of Mercy, Rev. Pwapiyadi Pwaveno Yadi said the convention has enhanced members’ spiritual growth and hope that members would practice lessons enhanced the spiritual growth of members and hope that members would put into practice lessons learned during the convention.
