Adamawa State Police Command has commenced an investigation to unravel circumstances leading to the killing of a teen and the removal of some of his organs by yet-to-be-identified suspected ritualists.
The lifeless body of a boy who is about fourteen years old was found dumped in Rumde ward behind Yola North Local government Secretariat in Jimeta, Adamawa State with his throat, tongue, and eye removed.
The victim is believed to be a pupil of one of the Tsangaya Islamiyya Schools situated within the locality where the corpse was discovered.
Some residents of Rumde ward who preferred anonymity said they heard the crying of the boy during the act, but did not bother assuming it was usual molestation by seniors.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Adamawa state command, Superintendent of Police, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje who confirmed the incident said the investigation has commenced to unravel the cause of the incident and to track down the culprits, saying the corpse of the boy was taken to a hospital for autopsy.
