Rihanna will take the stage at the 95th Academy Awards to perform her Oscar-nominated original song ‘Lift Me Up’ from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’

The singer’s upcoming performance was announced on Thursday by The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences on Twitter

The nominees for this year’s awards were announced on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 ahead of the ceremony scheduled for Sunday, March 12 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles

Rihanna became a first-time Oscar nominee this year when ‘Lift Me Up’, which features Nigerian artist Tems, was nominated for ‘Best Original Song’ and her performance will be her first time performing at the Oscars

‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ earned five nominations in total: best costume design, best makeup and hairstyling, best original song for ‘Lift Me Up’, best visual effects, and best supporting actress for Angela Bassett.
