Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye; the Commissioner of Police in charge of election in Anambra state has thanked stakeholders and the people of Anambra state for their conduct during the election, while charging them to work towards public good. The Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, also observed that this was the same disposition of Anambra state voters in 2021, during the governorship election in the state, at the time when he was Deputy Commissioner of Police Operations, Anambra State Police Command.

In a statement signed by the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, CP Adeoye commended the Independent National Electoral Commission- INEC in Anambra State, politicians for their maturity, the state government, heads of security agencies, officers and men of Anambra State Police Command. “CP Adeoye commended INEC in the state for its dedication and commitment to conducting a transparent and credible exercise. He extolled the spirit of sportsmanship displayed by the contestants who exhibited maturity throughout the exercise,” part of the statement reads.

Also, according to DSP Ikenga, “Adeoye thanked the State Government for allowing a level playing ground for the people to express their choice. He commended the Heads of all the security agencies in the State for their patriotism and sacrifice in the discharge of their duties and the unparalleled synergy with, and support for the police which guaranteed success. The Commissioner of Police thanked all Officers and men of Anambra State Police Command for their neutrality and professionalism”.

Similarly, while thanking all stakeholders and urging them to keep working for the greater interest of the nation, CP Aderemi Adeoye also thanked the Inspector General of Police, IG Alkali Baba, for the confidence he reposed in him by allowing him to serve the country in the capacity he did in the just concluded 2023 General Elections.
