NewsNigeriaPoliticsINEC Resumes Collation Of Governorship Election Results In Abia And Enugu States.

Having concluded a review of the conduct of the governorship and state assembly elections held nationwide on Saturday 18^th March 2023, the Independent National Electoral Commission in a press release reveals collation of results will recommence on Wednesday.

In the press release signed by Barrister Festus Okoye, National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, the commission also appreciates the patience and understanding of the people of both states as they conclude the collation processes.

Recall that INEC on Monday 20^th of March 2023 suspended further collation of the Governorship election results in some parts of Abia and Enugu state in the South East geographical zone of the nation.

The decision was arrived at to enable the Commission to review the conduct of the Governorship and State Assembly elections held nationwide on Saturday 18th March 2023.
