The National Working Committee of the People’s Democratic Party PDP has suspended former Governors of Ekiti and Katsina states, Mr. Ayo Fayose, Alhaji Ibrahim Shema, and former Senate President Pius Anyim from the party.
A statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr. Debo Ologunagba says that also suspended for alleged anti-party activities were Professor Dennis Ityavyar from Benue State and Dr. Aslam Aliyu from Zamfara State.
The party has also suspended Prof. Dennis Ityavyar from Benue State and Dr. Aslam Aliyu from Zamfara State, while the case of Benue State Governor Dr. Samuel Ortom was referred to the National Disciplinary Committee over alleged anti-party activities.
National Publicity Secretary of the party, Hon. Debo Ologunagba in a statement said the decision was taken after an extensive review of its affairs in the country and under the provisions of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).
The NWC of the PDP said the suspension takes effect from Thursday, March 23, 2023, and urged party leaders; critical stakeholders, and teeming members of the party across the country to remain focused and united.
