Ijeoma Otabor, the winner of Big Brother Naija, BBNaija, season 7 better known as Phyna, says she never dated Groovy, a fellow housemate, during the show.
Phyna denied her relationship with Groovy on the 21st episode of Toke Makinwa’s podcast, “Toke Moments”, tagged “Reality of celebrity status”.
Phyna said her relationship with Groovy on the reality TV show was just a game they both agreed to play which ended after the show.
“I didn’t intend to get into a relationship in the house. It just happened because of the space. Even when I was in a relationship in the house, I didn’t let my game fall. I was still doing whatever I wanted to do,” she said.
“We (Groovy and I) were never dating. We were playing a game. He knew that I was also playing a game with him. Now the game is over. There is a new show. Everybody moves on.”
Meanwhile, Phyna’s revelation has sparked a heated debate on social media as many are befuddled while others doubt her considering the intimate moments the duo had during the show.
