Hon. Dachung Bagos, lawmaker representing Jos South/ Jos East at the lower chamber of the National Assembly has condemned renewed attacks and killing of six of his constituents in Farinlamba -Turu area of Jos South Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State.
Bagos in a press statement on Wednesday in Jos condemned the renewed attacks on communities in Plateau State by suspected herdsmen.
The lawmaker described as sad, attacks on the affected community on Tuesday night during which six people were killed at a mining spot in Farinlamba Turu, Jos South LGA.
Bagos, who is also the Deputy Chairman House Committee on Anti-corruption, expressed sadness that attackers could easily gain access to Farinlamba mining spot settlement .
He wondered how criminals were able to beat security checkpoints to carry out the attacks and vanish into thin air without facing resistance .
Those killed in the attacks were Ishaya David 25, from Tana, Paul Adamu from Dangyuruk 23, Bitrus Mancha, 43 from Dantou.
Others were Davou Boyi 40, from Dawurum, Joseph John 39, from Dawurum, and Timothy Peter 35, from Dawurum.
He called on security agencies as a matter of urgency to come to the aid of the hapless citizens and provide them with security.
The lawmaker called on his constituents to be law abiding and not to take law into their hands but remain vigilant to report strange movements around their communities to security agencies for prompt response.
