Nigeria tops the Group D table with six points from two matches  as the Flying Eagles of Nigeria on Wednesday defeated their counterparts from Italy 2 – 0 in their second match of Group D at the ongoing FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Argentina.

Salim Fugor scored the first goal in the 32nd minute while Jude Stanley scored the second goal in the 95th minute.

With that feat, Nigeria now tops the Group D table with six points from two matches played and thus have qualified for the next stage of the competition.

Recall that the Flying Eagles came from behind to beat their counterparts from the Dominican Republic 3-2 in their first match on Sunday.

The team’s last group match will be against former champions, Brazil
