Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, the first daughter of President Bola Tinubu, has added the ‘First Daughter of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, FRN’ to her numerous [chieftaincy] titles.
Tinubu-Ojo, who was crowned the Iyaloja of Lagos (the head of Lagos State markets) on October 29, 2013, also declared herself as the “Iyaloja General of Nigeria”.
She added the titles to her Twitter bio to reflect her new status a few hours after the inauguration of her father, Tinubu.
Tinubu and his running mate, Kashim Shettima were formally sworn in as the president and vice-president of Nigeria on Monday, May 29, 2023, at Eagle Square, Abuja. They resumed office the following day, Tuesday.
While Tinubu’s inauguration automatically confers the “First Lady” title on his wife, Senator Oluremi, Tinubu-Ojo’s “First Daughter of the FRN” is the first of its kind in the history of Nigeria.
With her new “Iyaloja General of Nigeria” title, there are speculations that she is seeking to spread her tentacles beyond the markets domiciled in Lagos.
