FoodLifestyleNewsNigeriaVIDEO: Hilda Baci receives Guinness World Record plaque

Hilda Baci, the Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, has received her plaque.

A video she posted on Twitter yesterday shows when the plaque, concealed inside a box, was delivered to her, and it was a moment of uncontrollable excitement for the chef.

Recall that Hilda Baci, born Hilda Bassey, was certified as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual by the Guinness World Records, GWR, on June 13.

Though she had cooked for 100 hours during her five-day cooking marathon, almost seven hours were deducted, leaving her with 93 hours and 11 minutes.

The GWR explained that this was because she mistakenly took extra minutes for one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt, adding that “the participant is permitted a five-minute rest break for every continuous hour of activity. These rest breaks can be accumulated if not taken. They were the only times Hilda could use the bathroom or sleep during the attempt.”
