The Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah on Thursday charged his Chief of Staff and 6 Special Advisers to work assiduously to fulfill his promise to the people to take the state to a greater height and destination.
Speaking to his Special Advisers on the swearing in day, Mbah said, “I want it to be known that this is a social performance contract that we are signing with you today.”
“What we said to the people of Enugu is not vague at all; we have not only told them our destination but have given them a measurable indicator of when it shall be realized.”
“That is the same way you will be measured; we are going to work together to take Ndi Enugu to that destination I had signed up with them,” Dr. Mbah reiterated.
The oath of office was administered to the Chief of staff and 6 Special Advisers by the Solicitor-General of the state and permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Barr. Victor Emeribe.
Responding on behalf of all the sworn in Special Advisers and himself, the Chief of Staff Barr. Victor Udeh expressed appreciation to the State Governor for scouting them out of the vast pool of experts to work with his government.
Udeh promised they will put on their thinking cap and swing into action so as to ensure the vision and mission of the administration is actualized.
The Special Advisers sworn-in are Prof. Linda Egbo, Special Adviser on Public Financial Management; Osinachi Nnajieze, Special Adviser on Legal; Arinze Chilo-Offiah, Special Adviser on Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Dubem Onyia (Jr), Special Adviser on Donor Relations.
Others are, Mike Ogbuekwe, Special Adviser on Agriculture and Osita Onuma, Special Adviser, Digital Transformation, Technology, Innovation, Industries of the Future and Industrial Strategy.
