David Adeleke Foundation, DAF, has donated N237 million to various orphanages across Nigeria.
The founder of the foundation, David Adeleke, the Nigerian singer better known as Davido, announced the donation on his various social media pages on Thursday.
Adeleke said the DAF distributed the funds to 424 orphanages with 13,818 child beneficiaries.
The singer said the donated sum was contributions from various individuals and corporations which the foundation reached out to support.
“In October 2022, the DAF began reaching out to eminent and compassionate Nigerians, seeking their support in raising funds for the less privileged across the country,” Davido’s statements read.

“Thanks to the generous contributions from individuals and corporations across various sectors and regions; the DAF was able to raise the substantial Donation Sum of 237M Naira”
Appreciating the contributors, he said: “I would like to personally thank all individuals and corporations that assisted in raising the donation sum.
“This would not have been possible without your unwavering support and kindness. May God bless each and every one of you.”
