Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has been appointed as the social secretary of the 10th Senators’ Wives Association of Nigeria, SWAN.
The actress disclosed this via an Instagram post on Wednesday.
Ned Nwoko, her husband, is representing Delta North in the Senate.
The wives of the senators had their first inaugural meeting, hosted by Ekaette Akpabio, the wife of the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, on Tuesday.
Daniels said that the women convened the meeting to discuss ways to support the senators and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu in serving Nigerians better.
“Yesterday was the first inaugural meeting of the 10th Senators’ Wives Association of Nigeria,” she said.
“It was a meeting specifically about the growth of our country and ways in which we can help our senators/husbands and the First Lady of the federation serve the great people of Nigeria better.”
She added, “I was also made the social secretary of the forum.”
As a social secretary of the SWAN, Daniels will be responsible for coordinating activities and providing support to the wives of senators.
She will also be involved in promoting the welfare of women and children in Nigeria.
