A Non-Governmental Organization, Hadija Orphanage Support Initiative has donated food items and educational materials to an orphanage home in Zuba Niger state.
During the presentation, the National Coordinator of the organization, Hajiya Adama Ahmed expressed concern over the deplorable condition of most orphanage homes across the country and called on Nigerians to always support them.
“Giving adequate support to the orphans will help them realize their full potential and contribute meaningfully to the growth of the country,” Hajiya Ahmed said.
In their separate remarks, the patron of the NGO and its Kogi state Coordinator, Mallam Awal Bashir and Hajia Fatima Yusuf stressed the need for the media to continue to champion the course of orphans by ensuring well-meaning individuals come to their aid. Receiving the donated items, the founder of the orphanage home, Hajiya Yele Audu lauded the group for the gesture and solicited the support of other Nigerians.
