The Copper Queens of Zambia, though is out of the ongoing Women World Cup in New Zealand and Australia, there is something going for the team as its captain, Barbra Banda, scored the competition’s 1000th goal in its second goal against Costa Rica.

Again, Mweemba sends her name in the record books by becoming the first Zambian player to score at the senior World Cup, slotting Avell Chitundu’s corner.

The second goal is even more remarkable, scored from a penalty kick in the 31st minute, Barbra Banda is the scorer of the 1,000th goal since the Women’s World Cup began in 1991.
