President Bola Tinubu has added Festus Keyamo to his list of minister-nominees to be screened by the Senate.
The President also withdrew the nomination of Maryam Shetty, naming Mairiga Mahmud as her replacement.
The president communicated the new development to the Senate via a letter at the resumed screening of the minister-nominees on Friday.
Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, read the letter from the President during plenary.
Keyamo was the Minister of State for Labour during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Shetty, from Kano, was one of the 19 nominees that made the second ministerial list sent to the Senate for ratification on Tuesday.
