Over 746 retirees in Jigawa state are receiving their terminal benefits worth over two point twenty-four billion Naira.
Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa, Executive Secretary of the Jigawa State and Local Government Contributory Pension Scheme disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse, the state capital.
He lauded the beneficiaries for the maturity shown during the payment exercise, explained that over N1.7billion was paid as gratuity to six hundred and thirty eight state, local and local education authority staff.
“Over two hundred and twelve million naira was paid as death benefit to families of seventy-eight civil servants.
The scheme also paid over N26.8 million to twenty nine families of pensioners as well as death pension balance.
“Over five hundred thousand naira was paid as refund of eight percent contributions to one retired civil servant,” he said.
