Military ‘Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) volunteers and hunters involved in counter-insurgency operations in Borno state have received 50 patrol vehicles and 300 motorcycles from Governor Babagana Zulum.
Governor Zulum, while presenting the vehicles to the Theatre Commander Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Gold Chibuisi, in Maiduguri said the gesture is aimed at enhancing surveillance for preventive and responsive operations against insurgents and other criminal activities.


“The military would get 30 Hilux vehicles and 175 motorcycles while Civilian Joint TaskForce (CJTF) and hunters would receive 20 Hilux and 75 motorcycles, the Agro Rangers Squad of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps would also get 10 motorcycles.
“This is the first phase of the distribution of vehicles to security agencies in our second term, which the military and the volunteers will benefit from today’s distribution,” he said.
Governor Zulum, explained that similar gestures will be extended to the Nigeria Police and other security agencies in subsequent phases.
