Operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Adamawa State Police Command have arrested a Cyber Crime suspects who uses a Computer network device to defraud members of the public.

According to the Press release by the image made by the Command SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje the suspects, all residents of Shagari Phase 2, Yola town, Yola South local government area of the state have been hacking into people’s accounts to debit their accounts using Advance Techniques and Skills.

Some of the items recovered from the suspects include eight thousand, three hundred fake US Dollars, one iPhone, Three  Android phones, and others.

The statement added that the investigation so far reveals that the suspects have been committing the offense since December 2022.

The Suspects are Jamilu Abubakar 21 years, Asab Vitalis 18 years, Honest Zubairu 16years, and Paul Ladan Vanasha 17 years.

The statement stated that the Commissioner of Police CP Afolabi Babatola has directed that the suspects be arraigned in court upon completion of investigations.

The statement further said: “As part of efforts at tackling Criminal activities and other related offenses the Commissioner of Police CP Afolabi Babatola working in concert to deepen intelligence and strengthen security in the State, calls on those falling Victims to such Offences to be watchful and report any Suspicious person(s) to the nearest police Station”.
