The Enugu State Government has commended the opening of a new temporary Submission Centre for United Kingdom Visas in Enugu State.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Governor, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, states the State Government received the news with delight and satisfaction as the synergy will enhance economic partnership and cultural exchanges between Enugu State and the United Kingdom.
“The Enugu State Government therefore looks forward to a strong, mutually beneficial relationship with the UK, as the Visa Centre would help cement the relationship.”
The Visa Centre in Enugu he said will facilitate visa applications by residents in the state, the South-East zone, and the country at large; “the state government will ensure improved security both to residents and visitors carrying on business in the state,” the statement reads.
A letter from the British High Commission reveals that the temporary submission centre in Enugu is opening as a Premium Application Location; it will cost #246,250.00, which includes a Premium Lounge appointment, courier return, SMS notifications, and general customer support guidance.
Starting from Wednesday 13th September 2023, the facility will commence operation at the Omedel Luxury Hotel, 4/6 Link Road off Paschal and Jerk Bus stop, Independence Layout, Enugu on a twice-a-week service.
“Demand for visa services will be carefully monitored and service reviewed/expanded should there be sufficient volumes. TLS will trial this location for at least 3 months to assess uptake of the service and enable decisions on continuation.”
The Enugu UK Visa Centre brings a number of application locations to four; Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, and the Enugu centre.
