For excellent performance, the Gombe State Due Process Bureau will be honoured with the prestigious Nigeria GovTech Award as the best state Ministry, Department and Agency (MDA) in innovative digital services following a popular nationwide nomination process.
According to reports made available to journalists on Tuesday, the office of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms in the Presidency through a letter issued by the Director General, D.I Arabi, said Gombe State was nominated through a nationwide online voting process initiated on radio, television and newspaper publications.
The letter reads, “Sequel to a nationwide nomination and online voting process initiated on radio, television and newspaper publications, Punch newspaper publication of September 4th, 2023 (copy attached), we are pleased to inform you that your organization will be honoured with the prestigious Nigeria GovTech Award in the category of BEST STATE MDA IN INNOVATIVE DIGITAL SERVICES”.
Speaking to our correspondent over the development, an elated Director General of the Due Process Bureau, Gombe State, Mr. Babayola Mohammed Isa, attributed the success to the transparent and open door policy of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya administration.
He said, he wasn’t surprised by the turn of events because the activities of the Bureau has continuously built public confidence which is what attracted recognition for the agency.
Mr. Babayola is expected to receive the Distinguished GovTech Trailblazer’s Award for the exemplary leadership he has demonstrated in advancing GOVTECH initiative and digital governance in the public sector at a dinner to be held at the International Conference Centre Abuja during a two day Nigeria GovTech Conference from 12th to 13th October, 2023.
